I believe that brewing your own coffee makes up a large fraction of your experience. Coffee is personal – the right way to make it is how you like it best. Of course, mastering a few fundamentals helps perfect the technique but do you have the time to experiment? Amidst our passion to create the best brew, we just have to admit that we also have to spend more time managing our business than creating that perfect brew. Maybe experiment on a few preparation methods, different roasts, or origins.
Purchase coffee as soon as possible after it’s roasted. Fresh roasted coffee is essential to a quality cup, so buy your coffee in small amounts ideally every one to two weeks. However, if it would be more cost saving to just buy brewed coffee from stores like Bos Coffee, Starbucks, or Brewed Coffee, then maybe you can spend a few minutes of your time finally relaxing while sipping your favorite cup of brewed coffee. Because it is a big no to reuse your coffee grounds to make another cup of coffee, this idea is most welcome to stay with us forever. Once brewed, the desirable coffee flavors have been extracted and only the bitter ones are left.
Do you know that the water you used in brewing your coffee also plays a role in the finished product? The water you use is very important to the quality of your coffee. Use filtered or bottled water if your tap water is not good or has a strong odor or taste, such as chlorine. The coffee to water ratio can be one to two tablespoons of ground coffee for every six ounces of water. This can be adjusted to suit individual taste preferences.
The amount of time that the water is in contact with the coffee grounds is another important flavor factor. In a drip system, the contact time should be approximately 5 minutes. With all these tips on hand, I think it best to just sit and order the cup rather than personally brewing it not to mention the time needed to wash your equipment and coffee maker. If you’re not happy with the taste of the final product, you’re likely experiment with the contact time until you get the right balance for your taste by either over extracting with a longer brew time or under extracting with a shorter brew time.
Keep this at the back of your mind – prepared coffee begins to lose its optimal taste moments after brewing, so only make as much coffee as you’ll drink. The Brewed Coffee just intend to prepare for you at one brew so you are assured you get a fresh taste with a a fresh aroma. Prices are very affordable considering what it has to undergo to deliver what you like.
